This is our "planned" itinerary, but the beauty of this river, is the road access. Even though very little traffic is on the road, it gives us the chance to run any section of the river we want to. If we have a brilliant day on one particular section of the river, then we can paddle part or all of it, the following day
Day One
Arrive in Erzurum and jump on the bus for a great journey through the beautiful Kackar Mountain Range to Maden on the banks of the Coruh. Camp overnight.
(Lunch and dinner included)
Day Two
With a hearty breakfast inside us we take to the river and paddle a 35km section to Ispir Gorge. With the Bitch, Stud and Dynasty along the way, we finish with the ultimate surf wave positioned right next to our camp - nice!
(All meals included)
Day Three
A great fun day! Todays paddling takes us to Tekkale with plenty of time to play in Perfect Portage and Petrakale. Gorgeous scenery with castles and ancient ruins perched high on the hilltops. We camp in a gorgeous spot beneath an ancient church and spend the evening being entertained and enjoying a beer with the ex-mayor of Tekkale at Cemils Pension.
(All meals included)
Day Four
A full-on day as we head to Barhal Valley to paddle 32km down a brilliant crystal clear creek. To top that we take-out at a pub along the way, climbing up a ladder for a relaxing lunch. The day ends on a massive high with Yusufeli Gorge. Nothing beats a paddle like this!
(All meals included)
Day Five
Tone up your play skills in some fantastic rapids today - Narlik, Yarbasi and the Wall. Check out the massive Lava East, the Coruhs largest rapid.
(All meals included)
Day Six
A wholesome breakfast before we hit Yusufeli Gorge once more. A classic section with great waves, brilliant playholes - definitely worth it! Our drive back to Erzurum is just as stunning as our drive in, and also gets us back in time to clean up at our hotel, enjoy a little retail therapy and relax, or maybe a Turkish Bath? Group meal together.
(All meals included)
Day Seven
After Breakfast at the Hotel, we transfer to the airport for flight home. Unless youve opted for a few days R & R in Istanbul or a spectacular trek into the Kackar Mountain range.
(Breakfast included)
