Day One
Arrive in Puerto Montt and transfer to the hotel in the beautiful village of Puerto Varas for overnight. Afternoon to relax.

Day Two
A short flight to Chaiten followed by a spectacular journey to the Futaleufu, pausing for lunch. We arrive at camp late afternoon in time for a leisurely float down the lower section of the river.

Day Three - Christmas Day
After a relaxing morning and champagne breakfast we walk up one of the surrounding peaks for stunning panoramic views. Early afternoon we dine on a 5 Star Christmas dinner of Turkey, ham, roast vegetables and more .. plus Christmas crackers and spectacular evening celebrations!

Day Four
After a hearty breakfast we take to the river. Starting at La Passarella we plunge into the exhilarating whitewater fun of the Futaleufu. Get ready for a completely addictive, adrenalin fuelled adventure.

Day Five
After breakfast we launch the rafts and paddle down river towards the magnificent whitewater that awaits us. Be assured that we will portage any rapids that are not runnable – no matter how spectacular they are. After lunch on the side of the river our raft trip continues with more awesome rapids. Our vehicles will meet us at the Rio Azul and we return to camp for a well-deserved soak in the hot tub!

Day Six
Freshly baked bread and Eggs Benedict on the menu for breakfast and then we have another great day paddling ahead of us.

Day Seven
Today we have a gorgeous scenic horse ride alongside the Rio Azul. Under the expert tuition of our guides and local horsemen you will be treated to magnificent views up the valley to the glaciers. After lunch we return to camp with a little fly-fishing for those interested.

Day Eight
The morning starts with some brilliant whitewater to waken us properly and continues with an amazing stretch of water. Relaxed evening to follow. Hot tub and glass of wine anyone?

Day Nine
We travel up to the Rio Azul today with chance to steer the raft and practice your river skills. Rubber Duckies (2 man inflatable canoes) are also available and well worth a go! The day is completed with traditional Chilean hospitality and Asados recounting your stories from the past week, on one of the best whitewater rivers in the world. What a way to celebrate the beginning of the New Year!

Today it’s your choice on which sections you would like to re-run for the perfect finale.

Day Eleven
An early start and a transfer back to Chaiten to catch our flight back to Puerto Montt and onward journeys home.
