Day One
Arrive in Puerto Montt and be met by guide. Transfer to hotel in Puerto Vars to relax after flight. Free time in Puerto Varas

Day Two
Transfer via small aircraft to seaside town of Chaiten. Transfer via van across this spectacular country to the Futaleufu. Arrive at camp for late lunch and maybe a dip in the river! Kit out kayaks and go over camp procedures

Day Three
Our first day on the water. After fitting out our kayaks we have an easy introduction on a nearby lake where we practice our basic strokes and enjoy a healthy lunch on the lake shores

Day Four
More instruction and rolling practice on the lake. Following a leisurely lunch a game of kayak polo to practice all your new skills!

Day Five
After a hearty breakfast we head off for our first day on the river. This is moving water up to Class II. Surrounded by stunning scenery this is a great way to learn

Day Six
Today we paddle the Rio Azul, one of the tributaries to the Futaleufu. A slightly more challenging river, it will give you the opportunity to stretch yourself a little

Day Seven
Layover Day. Horse riding, fly fishing or just relaxing in a hammock with a book its your day, its up to you

Day Eight
Back to the Rio Azul to re-practice our skills. After lunch we will teach you some basic rescue techniques. There is also chance to discuss and gain 1 & 2 Star BCU qualifications

Day Nine
Time to up the grade with the Rio Palena, a gorgeous Class III on the Argentine border

Day Ten
Chance to paddle the classic Bridge to Bridge section on the Futaleufu, with an option to raft for the less confident. This can be a huge day for personal achievement, all rounded off back at camp with traditional Asado and Pisco Sours

Day Eleven
An early start and a transfer back to Chaiten with the van to catch our flight back to Puerto Montt
